(More customer reviews)What a fantastic idea: additional LED lighting for a motorcycle that is both auxiliary turn signal indicators and running lights. Out of the box, once installed, the little red and amber LEDs all glow once ignition is on, the red ones come on brighter when brakes are applied, and when the turn signals are switched on that side flashes. Brake lights over-rule indicators.
Wiring is straightforward. Check for the correct colours on the bike's loom and apply Scotchlok style taps. A problem is the wires connecting to the bike's loom are short and it's a bit of a stretch to connect to the indicator, brake, live and earth. This has to be done twice: one for each side.
The LEDs have too much wire. After sticking them and threading the wire into the bike, each side is plugged into a telephone-style socket and the remaining spare cable has to be bundled up somewhere. Perhaps making all connections under the seat rather than at the front of the bike would be easier.
The product works exactly as advertised, but isn't particularly bright in daylight. The LEDs should be larger and brighter. However, at night having additional lighting under the mirrors tells everyone exactly how wide the motorcycle is, and that is what the lights are for.

VL-20 VectraLight LED arrays are designed to be mounted on the bottom edge of the mirrors of most motorcycles. They are flexible so that they can bend somewhat to match contour of the mirror. The unit attaches to the mirrors with an extremely durable two-sided tape. Instead of replacing the entire mirror assembly, these arrays are easy to mount and provide additional functions: - Front facing 5 LED array in amber - Rear Facing 5 LED array in Red - Brake override for the rear facing LEDs Each LED array is totally waterproof and has a 6' (1.8m) long black USOC cable with an RJ-11 plug. There are (2) breakout sockets with inputs for: power, ground, turn signals and brakes. The connections are made using the automotive grade Scotchlok brand of IDC taps, so none of the wiring on the motorcycle has to be cut. The software for the VL-20 version does not allow programmable running light intensity. VectraLights operate as a reduced intensity running lights, both amber LEDs in the front and red LEDs in the back operate SEQUENTIALLY as turn signals, and as brake lights the rear facing red LEDs come on at full brightness. The side view mirrors are the widest points of the motorcycle. Mirror mount location makes your motorcycle look wider and much more conspicuous. VectraLight uses a microprocessor to time the sequencing of the super bright LEDs. Made of AlGaIdP material, amber LEDs have a minimum output of 5,000 mCd, and the red LEDs have a minimum output of 8,000 mCd. The half angle of the LEDs is 30 degrees for wide viewing cone.
