Be aware: THIS THING IS HEAVY!!! And this is precisely because it offers an outstanding protection against falls.
On one of my rides a heavy rain surprised me in the course of the road. It was 2 hours until I reached my destination; 2 hours full of rain over me, all the time! I didn't feel cold, I didn't feel uncomfortable; it wasn't a problem really because I was wearing my loved Firstgear leather jacket! And the best of all, at the place I arrived (a lovely restaurant in the middle of the road), when I took my jacket off I was TOTALLY dry inside! Not even a drop of water over my t-shirt! And when I continued my trip (once the rain stopped), the jacket came dry very quickly. Really amazing!
When I wear the jacket it feels very comfortable. On the riding position there is no problem, and the helmet never touches the jacket, which is an important factor of this jacket design.
The jacket comes PLENTY of pockets everywhere, inside and outside. Those pockets come at different sizes and positions, so it is really cool finding the right pocket to keep all different kind of stuff securely.
The ventilation system is incredibly effective; you can feel the air passing thru your body!
This thing is like armor, you feel very secure. And the protective pads technology it comes with for shoulders, elbows and back is really unbelievable! Just go to the Firstgear website and watch the video demo!
