I've been riding with this bag on the back of my Vulcan for about a year and a half, and it's a great product. The bag has lots of storage space in the main compartment. I can fit a pair of shoes, a change of clothes and other odds and ends for a trip inside with ease. When the main compartment is open, there is a zippered divider on the inside of the lid that can be handy for keeping items separated. If the main compartment isn't too full, a helmet visor can be kept in this part. The top compartment's size depends on how full the main part is, but it's a good place for a wallet, keys, cell phone, etc. Again, there is a mesh pocket on the inside of the lid. I think its very handy and helps keep things organized. I usually put my phone in there, so if I need it there's no digging around inside. I never use the back pocket because it's pushed against my sissy bar in order to use the back pillow. If you have the back pillow stuck on with the velcro, getting to the back pocket is going to be hard.

The two side pockets are decent sized, but the lids on them don't open as easily as I'd expect. That's one complaint about this bag. Although you can probably stuff a thin windbreaker type jacket in the pocket (I wear a medium and mine barely fits) the narrow opening makes it more difficult than need be. I use these side pockets for the straps that Kuryakyn includes (4), a few bungee cords and the rain cover. Kuryakyn also provides a little cable lock. It's not going to stop someone who has a tool on them, but it doubles as a helmet lock. My second (and final) complaint about the bag is that the cable for the lock doesn't fit through the zipper pulls' openings, so you can't lock the bag closed on the bike. I think this would have been a nice feature, but oh well.

All in all, the construction of this bag is impressive. Nothing on it feels cheap. There's even a little elastic sleeve to hold the main zipper so it doesn't make noise while you ride (but some of the others will jungle together from time to time). There are metal rings in multiple places, so attaching extra gear is easy. Kuryakyn also provides a pad to go under the seat to which the bag can velco. This works very well, and if you have a sissy bar, the bag is stiff enough to serve as a backrest even when it's not fully loaded. Because of the rigidity, the bag is a little bulky if you take it off the bike. It's fine if you're taking it inside for the night, but it's definitely too large to carry around like a backpack or briefcase.

Finally, the bag can attach to the bike in a few ways. I already mentioned the anchor that can go under the seat. But the bag has two large, wide velcro straps that could wrap around your sissy bar is you put the bag on a luggage rack (the backrest pad attaches to these if the bag is between you and the sissy bar).
