I have the black chrome VR1 and a custom painted VR-1X, for fit, build quality, function and style they are some of the best helms I've owned. It beats out most of the other helmets in this price range -and- even some of the pricier helms for quality.
Cons:
IMHO The VR2 is better ventilated and lighter, but on the flip side it's also a noisier helmet.
Comments:
Getting harder to come by these helmets in anything but an x-small, the fact that KBC revived the VR1 helmets says a lot about how much in demand they were. I would choose this or the VR2 over any HJC brand helmet.
