(More customer reviews)I'm a die-hard wind-in-your-face kind of rider.I have ridden over 65,000 miles with a half helmet - shunning face shields, windshields, fairings, and pretty much anything that gets between me and the breeze.I ride in hot, cold, windy, and rainy conditions.So, what about this helmet made me choose to cover my ears and put on a face shield?Price and Features.
This helmet allows me to still feel the breeze -- just rotate the faceshield up one notch or all the way up.I can ride in changing light conditions (i.e. early mornings, late evenings, and through tunnels) with out stopping to change my glasses -- just slide the internal sun visor up or down.I can't stand having my cheeks pushed in to my teeth.This helmet doesn't do that and is far more comfortable than a full-face helmet.
Excellent helmet for the price.Comparable Shoei helmets (with fewer features) will cost you a lot more.
One note about sizing:The IS-33 is sized slightly smaller than the CL-33 model.I tried on both models at the local (overpriced) motorcycle store.It was obvious that I needed one size larger for this model.
