(More customer reviews)Kuryakyn is well known in the motorcycle world as a maker of high-quality, beautiful after-market parts.Their Iso-Grips have more or less cornered the market for affordable, comfortable grips that will dress up your ride without breaking your wallet.For those of you familiar with Iso-Grips, the Flame Grips are made with the same sturdy construction and comfortable vibration-absorbing rubber grips; the only differences are the flame pattern cut into the rubber grips and the iron cross end caps which replace the original, featureless end caps.
Installation is a breeze - but understand that once you put these grips on, they're not coming off.
Remove your stock grips (you might have to cut them off, but don't do that unless you're sure you have no choice).Clean the bars beneath with a clean cloth, preferably a microfiber cloth.Gently rough up the plastic throttle sleeve with a bit of sandpaper to makes sure you get a good bond.The grips come with two packs of glue that you have to BE VERY CAREFUL with.Put the glue on your bar, align your grip with your bar exactly how you want it, then slide your Iso-Grip on in one smooth motion.DO NOT STOP UNTIL IT'S ALL THE WAY ON.The glue you're using is a very, very fast acting glue that will immediately form a bond the second you stop moving it.Once that stuff sets, you're not going to remove it.Repeat the same steps on the other side and you're done.Give it a few hours to make absolutely sure everything's good and dry and bonded, then ride safe!
