(More customer reviews)Got back into riding about 10 years ago when I was living in the Pac NW.I was making the run back and forth between seattle and LA and got a Nelson Rigg system... this bag, but 10 years ago, and a pair of soft saddlebags. All in all they performed wonderfully. There are a number of smaller pockets on the outside to keep the things you want for rest stop breaks... smokes, book, water, etc,...but the tail pack and the saddlebags, attach to one another which makes loading up the bike a breeze.there're plenty of places to bungee other gear to the outside like a tent and sleeping bag.
This tail pack was also my main bag for any day to day use that would pop up.For trips to the grocery, for example.Or to my laptop and work materials to go to work.Sometimes I'd fill it ful of Squirrels just to prove a point. It'slasted me almost ten years now with only one complaint/mishap... About two years ago, I was coming back from a weekend run on the freeway when one of the bungee hooks that keep it secure busted...which sent the bag full of gear off to one side of bike and dragging in my rear wheel at 75 mph. It could have been much worse, the bag could have been full of Squirrels. It wasn't, but I did came close to laying the bike down, but made my way safely onto the shoulder.Thebag suffers some pretty gnarly road rash on top.The asphalt ground a bunch of zipper away making it hard to close, and65% of the webbing on the handle wore off that night as well...
Needless to say, I'm no longer relying on the tie downs that come with it.And in their favor,I'd kept them pulled tight for tons of tons andmiles. That's the only problem or complaint I've had.I'm sure by next season I'll be hitting this page looking for a replacement.And I'll gladly fork over the 120 or whatever it's gonna be for another.and I can probly again and grabbing another.
