(More customer reviews)I love Techmount products.I feel they design innovative, quality items.I bought two of these.I have one on my motorcycle and one in my car.I use them to clamp down on my big ol' 4th gen iPod, my little square iPod mini (or is it Nano?I get 'em confused), and my cell phone.It works great for all three items, holding them quite securely.The little sliding plastic prongs at the bottom spread out far enough to allow the iPod docking cable to connect to the bottom of the iPod trouble-free.The spring-loaded side 'clamps' have a neoprene-like foam that softly graps whatever item you place inside.There's a small plastic button on the bottom left that causes the 'clamps' to spring apart when depressed, making it easier to remove your electronic device.As you can see in the photo, there are also four foam discs that prevent your device from contacting the hard plastic 'chassis' of the Techmount unit.
If your device is any larger than the 40GB iPod, you'll probably want to go up a size...just be aware.It's a pretty simple device and works as advertised.
