I think he would have been okay with the standard orange safety vests which crossing guards or traffic controlers wear but I didn't really like how those looked. I was also skeptical that the reflectors may not be reflective enough. I compared this vest to other similar vests online. This was on the higher price range. Not knowing much about vests. It was reviewed well. Once I received it, I was pleased with the durability. The spinal protector is removable. The reflectors seemed to reflect light well. At the end, my brother was pleased and so it appears to be a good choice. It arrived quickly and I would order from this company again.
