I dont know how affective the flashing led's on the back of it are, but it certainly seems like a great feature. The helmet is very comfortable and stays cool because the heat can escape out of the bottom unlike full face helmets. I own a motor scooter and just ride around town so it works well for me, but I think the best use for this helmet is for low speed city and scooter use. One problem with this helmet, and many other 3/4 helmets, is the noise level when riding faster than 30 miles per hour becomes very monotonous and annoying. I dont face this problem often because there isnt anywhere i can go that fast in town, but if you were considering using this helmet for freeway trips or long country road rides, then it might be a problem. But if you were planning on using this with a scooter than its the perfect fit.
