(More customer reviews)I bought one of these at a motorcycle rally last year.It really helps to relieve hand and shoulder cramping when riding on long distances by allowing you to use the lower palm of your hand to help control the throttle.I now have a Brakeaway Cruise Control System on my motorcycle, so I removed the Crampbuster.Within a week, I put the Crampbuster back on.I use both devices now. When maintaining speeds on the highway, I use the Brakeaway. When I take back roads or need more speed control, I still utilize the Crampbuster, as I can easily adjust speed. I also know some veteran riders that swear by the Crampbuster. There are a couple of other models that riders seem to have issues with, but I have encountered none of the problems with this model. Some helpful hints:
.Never adjust the Crampbuster while riding. This is foolish.Make adjustments only while at a complete stop.It may take a few tries, but is definitely much safer.
.Do not mount it in too high of a position on the throttle - I believe this is where most people are having problems.Make sure that while your wrist is in a proper riding position, the Crampbuster is only lightly touching (or not touching) the lower part of your hand. You should be able to properly operate the throttle without using the Crampbuster at all.To use the Crampbuster, you press your palm lower to hold the Crampbuster and throttle in place. If the Crampbuster makes your throttle jumpy, you have it mounted (rotated) too far forward on the throttle.Lower it until you can use it comfortably without the risk of accidentally pressing it while riding.I have used it for almost 3000 miles with no throttle problems at all.
.This might seem obvious, but make sure it is mounted free and clear of the fixed sides of the throttle and is only touching the part of the throttle that moves. One reviewer stated that it kept the throttle from snapping back into place correctly. Keeping the Crampbuster from touching any fixed parts should prevent that.
.As with all motorcycle accessories, make sure you understand how to properly use the device and understand the possible risks. If you do so, the Crampbuster should definitely make your rides more enjoyable.
